Despair was a session visual kei metal band that lasted for only a couple of months. They formed at the result of vocalist Kyo searching actively for guitarists to join a new band. He originally contacted 3 guitarists. Hizumi from Massacre, Shio from Foolish Love and Minato from the oshare band Cherry. Shio was the first to respond.
They toured for a few months while releasing live CDs and gained a cult following for their sound. They settled down to form a formal band just before the start of 2010. Many of Dirty Deeds' early music was alternate or higher quality new versions of most of DESPAIR's music.
